Turning Point

Area Relief Ministries has been working steadily for several months through the process of adopting Turning Point Safe Haven. It is an eight-bed safe haven that falls along the homeless and housing continuum of care spectrum offering private rooms for men who are chronically homeless and also have a co-occurring condition such as a mental illness, disability or substance abuse problem. The research birthed since the Mckinney-Vento Act has assisted in developing continuums of care that help eliminate barriers for those on the streets getting the ultimate care they need, of which a bed is only a small part. ARM is eagerly working to facilitate a streamlined, evidence-based, trauma-informed approach to the care now offered through our continuum which includes Room in the Inn, The Open ARM, Turning Point, and Move Home programs.

If you believe that you or someone you know or are working with is a candidate for residency at Turning Point, contact Fred McKinnie for more information.
