Prescription Medication

ARM provides assistance with the purchase of prescription medicines for residents who are uninsured.  Because of job loss and cuts in TennCare, thousands find themselves unable to afford preventive and emergency medications.  In 2009 ARM assisted with approximately $1800 toward the purchase of medicines to treat or prevent cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart conditions.

If you live in Madison County, are uninsured, and need help in purchasing prescription medication, please see the following guidelines:

Take your doctor’s written prescription to :

  • Health Care Pharmacy (505 Roland Ave.)

Have the pharmacy fax to ARM (731-423-0284) a description of what the medication is needed for and how much it will cost.

You will then need to come apply for assistance at our office (108 S.  Church St., downtown Jackson).

NOTE:  We DO NOT assist with pain medication.
